Visit of VIII Semester Students to Chawki rearing centre, Viha Mandva

Our Students visited the Chawki Rearing Centre located at village Viha Mandva, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, on 30/01/2026. During the visit, students acquired in-depth knowledge on silkworm egg hatching and black boxing techniques for uniform hatching. Students also observed I and II instar silkworm larvae and learned about the precautions to be taken during and after the moulting period. Besides this, students visited a silkworm rearing unit and gained deep insight into the subtleties of the sericulture industry through interaction with a progressive farmer from the nearby village Murma.
